Booster Fuels, an exciting start-up, had a problem. Consumers just weren't getting how the app-based refuleling service worked (think Uber, but instead of a ride, you get a full tank of gas in your car). Booster wanted a dynamic way to explain the process step-by-step, but they wanted it to be audio-free, so that it could appear at the top of their webpage. The solution was a live-action video augmented with motion graphics instead of a voice-over. You can see how it works in context below.
This explainer video was used to court investors for the start-up, and Booster Fuels raised over $20 million during a fundraising campaign that lasted only 2 years.
