Feature Film & Transmedia Marketing Campaign
As an award-winning filmmaker, I became attached as executive producer to make the feature film, Zenith. Marketing budget restrictions and the challenge of standing out amid an exploding volume of independent films immediately presented a business challenge. To solve this, we knew we would have to create and execute an utterly ground-breaking campaign, one that required little financially, but would deeply engage movie-goers and enjoy earned media. The solution was an interactive transmedia campaign featuring a variety of websites, viral videos, alternate reality gaming and live events. The result? The film garnered millions of dollars in earned media and quickly became profitable, ultimately finding a dedicated fan base that would carry the film into international distribution via Netflix and Hulu.
